We're a married couple — and like a lot of South Africans, we grew up watching hardworking people get left behind by systems that weren't designed for them. Good people. Honest people. People running real businesses, raising families, building something — but constantly hitting walls when it came to anything financial.
Vince had seen it in the informal sector. Choki had seen it in her own community. Between us, we'd watched talented entrepreneurs lose customers simply because they couldn't accept a card payment. We'd seen people travel far just to collect cash. We'd seen the frustration of being told you don't qualify — not because you're not capable, but because you don't have the right paperwork.
We started Maine Ventures Group (Pty) Ltd because we believed someone needed to fix this. Not with a complicated solution that requires a finance degree to understand. With something simple, fast, and genuinely free — built for the people who actually need it.
